how to fix it?
Missing virus definition: vptray.exe- ordinal not found
the ordinal 1109 could not be located in the dynamic link library WSOCK.dll
thats the exact prompt everytime i restarted my pc. Im using ibm thinkcentre pentium4 windowxp pro version 2002 service pack 3

are you runing norton currently? if so the problem may be fixed by uinstalling, installing, and updating https://www-secure.symantec.com/nor...
the other possibility is a rare virus that makes a fake norton setup, that deleats certain norton files? perhaps run a quick check with malwarebytes.

The ordinal error is stating, that an export (ord 1109) cannot be found in the specified DLL's EAT (mapped into the current process' address space). It's possible this DLL has been patched/had it's EAT hooked, but that's unlikely - are you able to run the application in a debugger, then check out the mapped DLL's EAT yourself?
thanks for your reply . I haven't try to uninstall my sysmantec because i've lost my cd installer was lost. . And ive learned from searching that vpc32.exe a componet of sysmantec is a trojan virus..
i believe you are looking at a mascarading malware for more information i recommend systemlookup.com nortons file information is found in
\%Program Files%\Symantec AntiVirus\while the other file added by AGOBOT.XM (or other malware)
is found where it is convienent for the worm/virus/trojanmike
i go to thru norton sysmantec website and there is an option that the site will automatic search my norton antivirus installed on my pc but the site tell no norton av was detect.. If i will totally uninstall my norton av and replace with other av, it is possible the ordinal 1109 - WSOCK32.dll disappear.
Guys any help what is the best antivirus as now. Someone advice AVG.
