How do you permanently disable Google's Incognito Private Browsing, Firefox Private Browsing and IE9 InPrivate Browsing? I do not want my kids to be able to do this!!!
A good question. IE's inprivate can be turned off via the Group Policy editor/administrative templates, or directly in the Registry if you have Windows Home. I don't see a way to turn off the other browsers, which leads me to suggest overlaying a parental control program onto the machine, that will track all usage and add other filtering functions. There is one built in to Win7, at the control panel, and there are third party solutions such as K-9, which also is free. I would also use OpenDNS at the router level, with an admin password, to provide general filtering for all devices on the network. In addition, give your kids only a Standard account, and reserve administrative privileges on their machines for yourself.
do as paul said....disable it in IE and then give the children LIMITED accounts with ONLY IE as the browser so they can not download anything and install it ....like FF or Chrome... Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions 7 Golds
Until you acquire a way to check for this, you might consider perusing the %appdata%\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects
another fun thing to try if you are command prompt savy. open a command window and type
ipconfig /displaydns
this will at least hint as to where they are going. even in incognito mode it stores this information.

Thank you! I am not sure on some of the thing you each have said so I will try to figure it out. So in DOS I can see where they have been? I do want to disable it and it sounds like IE is the way to go? I have a security package but when my kiddo went on Incognito, it didn't do anything to alert me on his activity... I will see what I can do. Thank you again!
