Solved how to delete an app tool bar

September 15, 2015 at 06:32:44
Specs: Windows 8.1
I have installed "" as a tool bar and want to delete it.
I have been and still am running firefox and their tool bar exists above the new one. I just want to delete the new one. In the past when I selected a new tab the screen presented various icons of the most recent sites I have visited and that made it easy to go back to them.

I've just tested "beachyhbt's'" link; double - clicked on it and it goes to the earlier post here at CN dealing with this problem; and where are a couple of active/working links to how to get rid of the pest...

Many of us post a link that subsequently shows to be slightly truncated or otherwise apparently incomplete; it's the system doing that... But if you double-click on them they usually work.

Somes pholks use (a freebie - but they appreciate a donation...) to shorten a lengthy link down to something very short; and that is then posted here. Double-click on it and it takes you to the actual original url/site.

Incidentally.. if that toolbar arrive on its own as it were - you didn't deliberately install it... then likely it arrived some other software/utils etc. you installed via a download off the web.

Almost all third-party apps/software/utils etc now includes a whole slew of stuff you neither want nor need. Using the default "automatic" installation option guarantees you "will" install a lot you don't know about; and is PAI to eradicate at times.

Using the manual/custom option allows "you" to see what is pre-checked for installation, and then uncheck it. Thus ensuring you install "only" what "you" want installed - usually of course the actual app etc. only.
