How to Circumvent Windows 7 Repair Tool

Specs: Windows 7, AMD 3.0 GHz/4 GB
On my computer I have Windows 7 and Ubuntu installed, but I got a virus the other day that makes it impossible for me to use Windows 7. I would have re-formatted by now except I have lost the disc. When I start Windows in safe mode, it gets about 6 or so .dlls down the list before starting up the repair tool, which then crashes after some time. Is there any way to get around the repair tool? I was able to get some files from the Windows side earlier, so I know that not everything is corrupted/erased. Please help.

I would also like to point out that I am near hopeless with Ubuntu and all Linux-related things, so if you do suggest something I should do with it, please spell it out step by step. Thank-you. :)

In your attempts to revive W7, I presume you got to the Windows Advanced Options menu, and from there selected Safe Mode.

Try selecting: ' Last Known Good Configuration' option
(Calls on the most recent settings that worked)

If no-go, have you tried: 'Repair the computer' option?

Also, what kind of computer is this? Brand/Model i.e. Inspiron X1234
Do you know if the Windows 7 is 32-bit or 64-bit?

Retired - Doin' Dis, Dat, and slapping malware.
