How do I turn off PeoplePc Antivirus in Virus

April 11, 2011 at 09:55:14
Specs: Windows XP
I am trying to install Spyware Doctor AntiVirus 8.0, but it keeps telling me that there is a conflicting antivirus (PeoplePC Antivirus) that I need to uninstall. I recently uninstalled this with the help of a PeoplePC technition. But my Windows Security Center is showing that PeoplePC Antivirus is up to date and virus scanning is on. How do I remove this from Windows Security Center ?

Thanks for the information, I found two left over files from peoplepc and deleted them. Windows Security Center is now telling me I have no virus protection, so that must have taken care of the problem. Spyware Doctor installed without any warnings of conflicting antivirus, but I am still having problems with it. So I will contact Spyware Doctor support and hopefully they will be able to help me get it running or refund my money. Thanks again.
