How do I know if my motherboard is bad I think I had a removeable bios chip how do I know if maybe I need to change it. I can't read from my cd-rom and I just built computer. I did everything right HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
my windows o s trying to load but only does so for 1 sec I see a blue screen cant use cd rom it won't read ant ideals

This would be the wrong forum for that qustions...
But.. do you have the cable to the hard drive plugged in correctly? pin 1 with pin 1. How about the CR-Rom is that plugged in correctly? pin 1 with pin 1. Are they on the same chain? IS the hard rive listed as Master and the CD-ROM as slave with the jumpers correctly positioned?
IS your BIOS set up correctly to identify the devices on the IDE cables?
Is your Memory seated correctly?
IS your CPU and Heatsink/fan seated properly with thermal compound used to prevent the CPU from overheating?
IS your power supply up to snuff, what I mean is the power supply able to handle the load that is being tasked of it?
There are many things that one could check on a new computer first before assuming that it is the MOBO or if it is the flash-able BIOS.
I went through some basics on what I would check..
Do you hear beeps, if so what are they.
count the beeps, are they short or long? What MOBO are your using? What CPU are you using? What type of memory are you using? Who manufactured the memory?
Let me know..
