The virus for all intents and purposes is flushed out of your system by having them in quarantine. There are different opinions about deleteing the quarantine files. They will cause no problems being left alone. Some people simply delete them after using their computer for a while to make sure everything is working properly. Most of the time the reason the file cannot be repaired is because the file only contains the virus package, and there is no other damaged file. You can send them to Symantec to verify this, if it will give you peace of mind. All the best!
