I am getting a windows screen asking me what I want to do with a worm on my computer. The worm is: Lovgate.ad I hit ignore first since I didn't know exactly what to do with it. I then ran one of my Anti-Virus programs AntiVir and then also Norton AV. AntiVir detected and said it deleted it. Half way through running Norton the screen went black again and asked what I wanted to do with the Lovgate.ad worm. It is telling me that the worm is in: c:\windows\temp\tmpc380.tmp How can I cure this problem? Thank You

hi sprank, first off you should scan your machine in safe mode and delete all files, then do a clean up of your cache, temp files, history and cookie folder, then clean your recycle bin. you should also make all your files visible, no hidden files. you should only have one anti-virus running on your computer as this can cause conflicts. if you want to use 2 then disable one and use the other. the other can be used as a stand alone when needed. or if you prefer get rid of norton and use the other. reboot your computer in normal mode. check the quarenteen folder in norton and see if it put it in there if so delete it from quarenteen, then go to the temp folder and delete the offending file. and clean your recycle bin. all the best, murve
