System32 is not the name of the virus. System32 is a much needed directory in Windows. What makes you think you have a virus?

thanks for replying. the desktop backgroung changed to a warning sign, and the screen saver also changed to this bugs eating the desktop icons, I searched for the picture file and I found it in the System32 folder. I don't know what it is, but a warning message pops up stating I have a trojan and it will steal all of my information, to clik on "yes" to download a program. help me! I bought a norton anti virus and it did not help.

Norton didn't help, what a surprise!
If you found something in system32 that doesn't belong, delete it. Check the registry as well Follow the same path for HKLM and HKCU Software Microsoft Windows Current Version Run

Don't say "yes" to that program - it is some nasty or other.
Don't delete any file unless you are "absolutely sure" it is safe to do so - you might produce more problems than you fix.
As you say you know nothing about computers I would steer well clear of the registry too - that is for experts and you could create a fine old mess up.
