What type of backup ur using?? If its nt/2000 backup which comes with operating system or any third party, if its nt/2000 backup it will create a crete a catalog that has all the information of which files are backed up. Follow this procedure, insert tape into tape drive, open backup utility, you can see tape drives..with some folder, double click on one folder it will open a catalog and show you all the files which have been backup.

Ram, I have done so, but the problem is even I have catalog all the files and folder, I can see all the folder and file after it's verify my tape. btw, I am using batch file to back my daily work.
