Everytime I check my mail in Microsoft Outlook Express, I keep receiving junk mails(advertising) from people I never heard of. Is there a way to stop this?

Use another email service(eudora/hotmail/yahoo) or get an anti-spam program. Never respond to a spam in any way.

I already have one email account in Yahoo. Microsoft Outlook express is the default email from my ISP. I don't check my emails from Outlook everyday, just once in a while to see if my ISP has sent me new information or offers. But lately whenever I check my email, i'm getting junk mails. Is there an option in Outlook about who you can allow to email you and stuff? like in Yahoo.

This might be a way.
In your Yahoo mail there is an option under, mail options>management>mail accounts to receive mail from other domains in your Yahoo mailbox. A long as it's a POP3 account (check with your ISP) it can be done.
Then you can use the filters in Yahoo Mail to weed out the spam.

Hulk, in Outlook Express you can block e-mail from selected e-mail addresses or entire domains. One way to do this is to highlight the offending e-mail, click Message then Block Sender. You can manage your blocked sender list by clicking on Tools, Message Rules, Blocked Senders List. Here you can edit (modify) the list; one useful approach is to block mail from a domain instead of a single address as long as you know you won't receive any legitimate e-mail from that domain.
Hope this helps.

I agree with BB. Use the message tools and you can block 99% of it.

Evening all,
You could try Mailwasher. It is a free program that allows you to preview the e-mails on the ISP server before you download them to you computer. You can delete and/or bounce e-mails and you can also mark others as frinds. A little less time consuming than blocking and/or creating rules in OE.

You can get it at www.mailwasher.net

Give it a try,
XDon

I use mailwasher and it does the job perfectly. The free version has limitations such as only being able to use one email account, but for around $30.00 you can upgrade to the pro version which has no limitation at all.
