Reply: (edit)Don't go online so XP can't phone home. Also, keep your HD outside your computer, with a few winds of very large (10AWG range) magnet wire around it. Connect the coil to a >=10,000V, >=30mA neon sign transformer and some large capacitors. The idea here is resonance, so read up on those equations. Rig the hard drive with a remote trigger (that you carry at all times) and a mercury switch. If anyone tries to access the drive, trigger the destruction mechanism. If you have enough power, the drive will be crushed. Even if the drive isn't crushed, all data will be gone instantly.
