How can I disable automatic update of ESET Smart Security? It always pop-up and very annoying. I tried to set 'advanced setup' / update / never update program component.
But it's not working

In fact, I wouldn't mind updating, but it get pop-up in the middle of my screen every hour.

You could go to Tools / Scheduler and turn it off in there.

You would be foolish to do this as you will be back here whinging that you have a virus / spyware, and you have ESET Smart Security and what a POS software it is because it will not protect you against the latest malware...

Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity...

I can find only 'show system task' box there.
Perhaps mine is not the same version with yours?
My version 3.0.621.0
I search every options but it seems there's no way to disable notification message.

Don't worry. I never update my previous antivirus and I was still fine, coz I use Firefox.

I think this ESET is like a little child with high ego. It keep bragging even when it did trivial things.
