I suspect this machine had a browser hijack. I ran SpyBot, A-Aware and Trend Micro PC-cillin virus scan and found several items that now appear to have been successfully cleaned. Then HijackThis was run. I am not sure if there is anything in the log that should cause concern and would appreciate some assistance in interpreting the log results. (where should I post the log?)
One sympton this machine continues to have is that is not being resolved is IE will not load. Each time the IE shorcut (or actual .exe file) is clicked, a seperate process runs in the task manager. So there ends up being multipal instances of IEXPLORER.exe running without loading the app.
