Comment:

I have been trying to deal with a hijacker virus for a few weeks now. I think there are still some unfamiliar processes running (the random letter ones in the log file below). I am currently using Spybot. Could someone take a look at my log file and tell me if anything else needs to be deleted? Thanks....

This is the peper/rads01 trojan.
Please follow these steps, in exactly that order:

Run this uninstaller:

http://home01.wxs.nl/~kleyn080/uninst.exe

When done, use the following tool to delete the files themselves:

Download Drpepertobackup.exe, save to disk, and doubleclick the file; it will self extract to c:\.
Find the "C:\drpeper\Find backup and Delete Peper files.vbs" file and double click it.

http://www.mjc1.com/files/mo/drpepertobackup.exe

A box will appear, copy and paste:KrwH5.exe and hit ok.

A second box will appear, copy and paste KrwH5f.exe and hit ok.

It will find all the files, delete them and will make backups in the same folder.
It'll open a text file (Peper.txt) with the list of all files deleted.

More info on what your removing here:
http://www.mjc1.com/files/peperpage/

Post the files deleted, and a new log.
Good luck

hi, paloma
you may also have family key logger.

kill these running processes with Task Manager:

programfilesdir+\familykeylogger\cisvc.exe
programfilesdir+\familykeylogger\familykeylogger.exe
programfilesdir+\familykeylogger\uninstall.exeacl.exe
secrets_14.exe

unregister these DLLs with Regsvr32, then reboot:

programfilesdir+\familykeylogger\cisvc.dll
programfilesdir+\familykeylogger\keylogger.dll

remove these registry items (if present) with RegEdit:

desktopdir+\family key logger.lnk
profilepath+\start menu\programs\family key logger\family key logger.lnk
profilepath+\start menu\programs\family key logger\help.lnk
profilepath+\start menu\programs\family key logger\links\download lastest version.lnk
profilepath+\start menu\programs\family key logger\links\mail to support.lnk
profilepath+\start menu\programs\family key logger\links\registration.lnk
profilepath+\start menu\programs\family key logger\quick start.lnk
profilepath+\start menu\programs\family key logger\reset settings.lnk
profilepath+\start menu\programs\family key logger\uninstall.lnk
programfilesdir+\familykeylogger\cisvc.dll
programfilesdir+\familykeylogger\cisvc.exe
programfilesdir+\familykeylogger\familykeylogger.exe
programfilesdir+\familykeylogger\fkl.chm
programfilesdir+\familykeylogger\keylogger.dll
programfilesdir+\familykeylogger\quickstart.html
programfilesdir+\familykeylogger\resetsettings.bat
programfilesdir+\familykeylogger\uninstall.exeacl.exe
file_id.diz
readme.txt
secrets_14.exe

remove these directories (if present) in Windows Explorer:

desktopdir+\s and settings\administrator.rd\desktop
profilepath+\start menu\programs\family key logger
programfilesdir+\familykeylogger

all the best, hope this helps,
murve
