To add to what RT said use a strong encryption key to prevent against brute force dictionary attacks. Avoid keys that have dates, names and whole words or sentences. A good method of creating a random memorable key is to use the first letters of the words in a nursery rhyme or song. You might have a favourite book that you can select a page and use the first letters of so many words from that. To make it that little bit more random add letters and / or symbols.
