please, can someone help me.. avg scans for viruses and it finds Trojan horse generic4.OAW http://img385.imageshack.us/my.php?... I know exactly where the file is.. and have tried deleting it multiple times, but access is denied, also it has a .bak file which probably means even if it was deleted, it come back again >.>!!! avg says that this virus is detected.. -when i open internet explorer (every time) -when i open any folder (mostly) -when the computer starts up (mostly) can someone pleeeeease help me get rid of this. (if you need to know, im on windows xp, dont know if that helps)

One of the first things to try would be to scan and remove in Safe Mode - - "F8" after the memory count at the startup screen invokes the Windows menu "im on windows xp, dont know if that helps)" Why... yes, often that's an essential bit of information - which is why it's requested under "OS" (just saying "Windows" isn't much) I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter.

No, it didnt work... its in the system32 file, kfbakfb.dll and kfbakfb.bak i believe theres a bak file for it.. also, when i scan, it finds it, i say send to the virus vault (when i use AVG) and, it then says i need to restart the sytem to do that, even when i do...it doesnt do anything, its still there. another thing, i checked the vault today (ive send it to the virus vault every time, i just say no to 'reset the computer'), and...i had like 100 of them, of kfbakfb.dll if it helps, it only finds the .bak file of it, when i scan in safe mode. please help

I'm having excatly the same problem, its been going on for over a week, I've tried several different websites who have given me loads of advice but all to no avail, I've scanned with every anti virus going but still it comes up ALL the time, the next thing is to throw it in the canal HELP dg4004

Has anoyone found a solution to this problem - we've had the same trojan since the start of June...
