Hi,
I also have been affected by the Google redirect virus. I have scanned my computer with AdAware and Spybot, but it didn't find anything. After reading some of the posts here, I downloaded Malwarebytes, but nothing was found on the search. I can use try Hijack this, but I wanted to wait till someone recommended it.
I'd appreciate any help on this matter.
Thanks!
Hi,
I went to that site, but I can't seem to find the link that allows me to download the "go.google.com" virus removal tool. Or the hyperlink has been disabled from that site.
Is there another site I can use?

hmmm it seems like there is a trojan zlob inside your system. Try to use this page as a guide to delete infection:

Sorry, I'm not very computer literate. Do I download SpyHunter scanner, so that it locates the zlob files/DLL's, but then how do I manually remove them?

Hi,
I'm not sure how to manually remove items. Do I need to run Hijack This or will it fail to detect items, just like Malwarebytes did? I do appreciate everyone's help.
Thanks

Had the same thing. Solved it with Avira Antivir. AVG and Avast couldn't. Neither could Malwarebytes, Spybot, some others, as well as a host of online scanners including Kaspersky, Trend, Panda. Now I also protect my PC with Threatfire [behavioural analysis protection]. Good luck.
