Alright slightly confusing, but here it goes.
In January my friend downloaded the trial version of Norton Anti Virus. In February she bought NAV 2002 over the internet.
I cannot install the new version withought uninstalling the trialware. I understand that.
Using the add/remove does not work as it is not listed. If I use the rnav.exe utility to remove it will it affect the new version that is on the computer but not installed?

I hope someone can give me some insight as it has been a while since I have used windows,

Thanks for your time,
Christine

download and install Registry Detective from PC Magazine, great program, it will search your registry for all norton stuff then you can delete it, its free and great, it will not delete anything it just shows you all there is under that name (Nortons has a tendency to enclude names that you are unaware of and this program will show you those different names) Any time I install a program I uninstall it thru the control panel then do a search on the computer then I use Registry Detective and it finds all, then you have the option to call up the registry (regedit) and delete all these it will keep your registry clean.
