My antivirus software has detected the virus Trojan Download.Wintrim.w at C;windows\system32\ia.dll It has cleaned it. But I am wondering if I have to reconfigure the "regedit" part or do anything else to fully clean it.

Ad-aware (spyware/dialer/trojan removal program) should be able to completely clean it too. If you have that dialer...likely other baddies on there too. http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/ Once installed; update it (globe icon) Set it up for full scan. Recommended to temporarily disable antivirus to prevent conflicts. Also recommend doing the scan while offline. Click gear icon on top Click scanning at left Check all you can in there Click tweak at left Expand scanning engine Have checked "unload recognized processes during scanning" Expand cleaning engine Have checked "Let windows remove files in use at next reboot" Click proceed to save settings Click start Check use custom settings Have checked "activate in-depth scan" Click next to start the scan When scan is done...click next Right click in window Select all Click next Yes at the prompt Reboot when done _____________________ I never give up!
