Have you tried another keyboard? Maybe try an XP repair install. Sounds like some corrupted files. If that doesn't work, you may have to do a reformatt clean install. Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

Did you disable system restore before removing/cleaning the virus? Life is more painless for those who are brainless.
