Comment:

Everything to the logon screen is just peachy. But then when i click on my account it will automatically close explorer.exe. Task manager is still operational but access to the internet and many other programs do not work. Norton is one of those programs that i can run.

It's still able to run in safe mode and we've tried several system restores with no effect. we've also done quite a few other things still with no effect.

Any suggestions are helpful

If you have/can run Norton...do you have/have you tried "GoBack"?
