I have this problem that i would of post it as a reply to another post here, but it was too old, and i was told to
do a new topic. This first occurred today, when i was checking bios, if there´s something wrong in the
adjustments. I found that there was new drive, "WAMSUNG", in the bootdisk priority list.
I was checking BIOS cause my computer has turned amazingly slow on games, even though i have justbought a new motherboard (AsRock K7vt4A+), more memory (2x512 ddr400MHz), new cpu, (AMD
SEMPRON 2600+) and new graphics card (GeForce 6600GT. They all worked just fine for some time,
specially after i installed a new driver for graphics card (forceware 81.85).
But now, for few days, theres been a serious problem with ability to run games etc...
So I have started to suspect that there´s a virus or somekind other malicious program doing this.
That WAMSUNG (as it first appeared in BIOS) sounds like a human created "evil joke" you know.
Especially just a moment ago, when I rebooted my machine, there came a announcement that a newdevice is found: "SEMWUNG$ CD-VOM WC 148F".
Really, it sounds like a bad joke or something.
That CD-VOM (!?) can be found in my device management too.
Maybe it´s time to install Norton Antivirus 2005 back, and see if it can do something..Seen That, Been There, Wrecked That..

Use F-Prot for DOS to check and clean your bios, It is at
