Please dont use all caps. Are you talking about the password before you login? If so We will need to know what operating system you are using. What operating system does it say when you are turning you laptop on.

If you are talking about the password you set in the bios that stops you from even starting to load the operating system, it will be helpfull to know what model your laptop is. Thanks

I need a knew signature

If it is the windows logon which you cannot remember password for try press CTRL-ALT-DEL twice and should take you to NT style logon page.

Type Administrator for username and leave the password blank and see if that works.

If not then as Grusomhat said, could you supply some more information

Regardless of which password has been forgotten, the question has been asked and answered many, many times on this site and others.

Do a little searching.

If it was changed "recently", how on earth did you
forget it?

You seem to know little about this machine (which is
the sort of thing that would fit in nicely if it wasn't yours).

Do you really not know what Windows is running (Win 98, Win ME, Win XP etc)? It would be useful for us to know.
