Hi, i am currently infested with spyware. It wont allow me to open my windows task manager, as well as many other things. When i log into AIM an away msg pops up telling me to go to http://www.angelfire.com/ego2/friends1/bestfriends.scr

I need serious help, ive tried Spybot,adaware,CWShredder,Virus Scan Online. It hasnt gotten rid of the problem. Plz help me.

Did you turn off system restore before running the programs?

Did you make sure you had all the latest updates for those programs?

Alan, I spent 30" going through your file and searching for information. I would appreciate it if you could give me an idea of what happened when you applied the suggestions I gave. Also, did you try to fix:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [AIM] C:\Program Files\AIM\aim.exe -cnetwait.odl

that I mentioned? If so, what happened? Evidently this is a new spyware, and it is going to show up again. The information here may well help a lot of people.

aim.exe - cnetwait.odl is quite normal (if you use AIM)
