Help I think I have a Trojan, I got A popup asking if I wanted to download something, I said no to the download, and then ZoneAlarm started spotting explorer.exe trying to contact the internet asking for access to 239.255.255.250 port 1900 and trusted zone 127.0.0.1 port 1034, I found out on google a hidden file called dllcache is connected with a hijacked copy of explorer.exe, the two files work together and were exactly the same size, both created on 07/03/2019. Of course that was before I started blundering about deleting things, now the dates of the re-infected files are correct but something continues spying on me??? At the moment I am frightened and not using the infected PC but getting desperate to do so, my daughter is chasing me and worried about her work info and my granddaughter needs it for her homework. Please can somebody help.

Please download and install the latest version of HijackThis v2.0.2:

Download the HijackThis Installer from this link: HijackThis

1. Save " HJTInstall.exe" to your desktop.
2. Double click on HJTInstall.exe to run the program.
3. By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.
4. Accept the license agreement by clicking the "I Accept" button.
5.Click on the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
6. Click "Save log" to save the log file and then the log will open in Notepad.
7. Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
8. Paste the log in your next reply.
9. Do NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet! Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Please download ComboFix to the desktop from this link:

http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe

Double-click combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
(Don't click on the window while the program is running, it may cause your system to hang.)

Please post the log it produces.

Hi jabuck

Thanks for looking at my problem.

Here are the HJT and Combofix logs, at Combofix reboot a Microsoft window opened saying there was a problem with “seb.cfexe” and it must close etc.

Update your java. Go to start> control panel> java> update> update now> uncheck/decline any google toolbar options.
Once updated go to control panel> add/remove programs and unistall all the other java versions on the computer except for the jre1.6.0_03 version you just installed. Those older version are one way you could have been infected.

Please download Dr Web CureIt to your desktop from this link ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/drweb-cureit.exe
Doubleclick the drweb-cureit.exe file and Allow to run the express scan.
This will scan the files currently running in memory and when something is found, click the yes button when it asks you if you want to cure it.
This is only a short scan.
Once the short scan has finished, mark the drives that you want to scan.
Select all drives.
A red dot shows which drives have been chosen.
Click the green arrow at the right, and the scan will start.
Click 'Yes to all' if it asks if you want to cure/move the file.
When the scan has finished, look if you can click next icon next to the files found:
If so, click it and then click the next icon right below and select Move incurable.
This will move it to the %userprofile%\DoctorWeb\quarantaine-folder if it can't be cured. (this in case if we need samples)
After selecting, in the Dr.Web CureIt menu on top, click file and choose save report list
Save the report to your desktop. The report will be called DrWeb.csv
Close Dr.Web Cureit.
Reboot your computer!! Because it could be possible that files in use will be moved/deleted during reboot.
After reboot, post the contents of the log on your desktop.

Sorry jabuck I think I messed up and deleted the scan fix instead of moving it but I am posting it anyway.

I don't see any big problem with the computer other than what was removed. I would continue to use it and if you have any other problems let us know.
