Hi,

I need some help. I think i got a couple of adware and maybe a virus. My window always looses focus as something else was running behind. Also, I keep getting all this pop up messages. I ran Norton and show me I got deews.exe, epx30105.exe, hjea.exe, and wmplayer.exe. Also, i think i got something from neededware.com/ndw3.cab

I would really appreciate help with these issues, Thanks a lot

Try these free programs for a good start on cleaning your system, update them then run them and be sure to set the virus scanners to auto clean if the option is available and run the spyware removers in Safe Mode and do the same with your Norton's antivirus..

Adaware SE

Spybot (note: don't load sd helper and tea timer)

cwshredder(note: use the stand alone version on the right side of the screen)

http://www.ccleaner.com/ccdownload.asp

To delete deews.exe(most likely dees.exe)and epx30105.exe set up the computer to view hidden files by going to start>control panel>folder options>view>check the box beside "show hidden files and folders" >apply>ok. Then navigate to this folder and delete if found:

C:\Program Files\sder

If not found do a search for dees.exe or sder and delete them if found.

For epx30105.exe navigate to and delete if found:

C:\Windows\System32\epx30105.exe

After you have done this to get rid of needaware I would need to see you HT log to find the random file it is being regenerated from. You will most likely need to post a Hijack This log so that the files associated with the hijacker can be identified. You can download Hijack This at this link http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ then place it into a folder of it's on, such as C:\HJT, so that back up copies can be made and not clutter your desktop or other folders and the backup copies of deleted items can be easily located if needed.

Once saved double click HijackThis.exe, and press "Scan". When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log, Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents into the text editor.

Do not fix anthing yet. Let someone review your log. ---jabuck
