I am wondering if anyone has the time to help me solve an extremely annoying problem.
When browsing the web (IE, Netscape or AOL) I get an occasional pop up window that says "the page cannot be displayed", but the window is borderless and I can't close it out. I can't close it with the task manager (it doesn't show anything running), when I look at alt+tab I see a blank browser but I can't do anything to get rid of it but reboot.
I have used AdAware, Spybot, use McAfee virus and firewall...a pop up blocker and nothing has worked.
It may be related to some strange files that try to open but can't when I boot up, which are C:WINDOWS/System32/ielcaabe.dll, he3bbcff.dll and icddefff.dll.
Does this make sense to anyone who is willing to walk me through a fix? I have only a little truly technological knowledge but I would be forever indebted. This thing is making me nuts.
Thanks,
Folk

There are some tools from response #3 here, download Hijackthis and paste your logfile in the textbox from here, you need to sanitize your system to get rid of those scumware currently on your system.
