Help - does my mom's Netbook have rogueware?

Specs: N/A
I bought this computer for my mom who lives in
another state so I'm trying to help her remotely..she
has NO computer skills:). Her notebook is flashing a
message that she may have a virus and then I think it
tries to sell her anitvirus this point she
can't use the applications or doesn't allow
her to continue..any suggetions? Thanks!!!!!

Definitely malware. I'm removed the virus from 2 friends computers in the last 2 weeks. It's a booger.

I made a real quick VB6 browser for when my other browsers are hacked. It always seems to work. Feel free to download it and use it. It's an .exe, but I assure you it's legit and there's nothing bad in it (I assure this as long as it's coming from my site url). or (if you prefer a zipped file):
Use that to download Ad-Aware.. do the full system deep scan (should take 5 - 8 hours) and you should be fixed. Don't just do the quick scan. That usually does nothing. Good luck.
