About three months ago, I was looking at the processes in my task manager, and I was humored to see 3 svchost.exe's running, one local, one registered to User, the other System...
Now, there are 5 of them running. And a bunch more of other .exe files that suddenly began showing up... such as CDANTSRV.exe, WANMPSVC.exe and etc.
I have a feeling that these are worms, but none of the virus scanners are picking them up.
Please help me, with these sudden appearances of .exe's my computer is being run right down the tubes.

Try http://www.simplysup.com/ and see if it can detect something. What firewall do you have installed, any unusual outgoing(bad news)/incoming traffic requests?

WanMPSvc
WanMPSvc.exe
An AOL component, the Wan miniport (ATW) service. If you delete this and logon, AOL reports a problem with your internet connection, and reinstalling AOL doesn’t help

Did you use Turbo Tax, CDANTSRV.exe is
c-dilla.
SpyBot should remove it, program and

WanMPSvc.exe
Something to try,
Recommendation :
Irrelevant to the VAST majority of AOL users, if not all of them. Some users, however, have reported errors with this service. We advise therefore that you go into "Control Panel \ Administrative Tools \ Services" and set this service to Manual.Good luck

CDANTSRV.exe is an application that runs with programs like 3D Studio Max. In Win XP and 2000 R/click My Computer --> Manage --> Services --> C-Dilla
Go to properties and set to manual, click stop and apply.Whenever you want to run the program that depends on this app you need to start the C-Dilla service 1st.
In Win 98 it probably can be turned off with a ctrl+alt+del and taken out of the start-up using using msconfig.
