My friend had an away up that said LOOK! then it had an angelfire address after it and i clicked on it, now it keeps making that same away message for me and just randomly puts me away. Is there any way i can get rid of it? i tried a virus scan but it didnt show any virus's.

Its doing more than that. Unable to open msconfig / regedit (unless in safe mode); Webpage opens on start up pointing to angelfire site and requesting download of "media tickets"; I have removed AOL IM and the pop ups on start up still appear. I ran ad-aware and spybot, removed 35 files, but problem persists.
Thanks for any leads...
Probably a PEBKEP error
