my pc just caught some nasty spyware and or adware from a file i downloaded it changed my desktop backround to a spyware warning which was unchangable, ive since managed to get rid of a fair amount of it with a veriaty of programs such a s adaware but there is still a fair amount on here which i cant solve myself it comes in the form of adds in my firefox browser and in explorer sometimes even when it's not being used im not a great user so please right any instructions as if im stupid would help me a lot. thank you very much and i hope u can fix this it's extremly anoying

Have you turned off "Messenger"?? If not 1. My Computer 2. Control Panel 3. Administrative Tools 4. Services 5. Scroll down and find "Messenger" and RIGHT click on it 6. Click on "Properties" and, in Start up Type, click the down arrow and click "Disable", "Apply", "OK" That should stop the pop-ups!

there are more than 350 spyware removers in the market: some of them are really bad and made to deceive you, others are quite good. Some of them are free of charge, some - are not. thanks for all of your help i must have got lucky as the first program i treid (from this forum) worked a treat it was i squared, but i had to run it in safe mode but thats ok. it was quik and got rid of most of my problems i think ive got rid of the worst know thank you again for your time. by the way this is one of the best free sites ive found. cheers!
