A heads up to everyone that a spyware by the name of (LEADERTECH) POWERREG SHEDULER continues to go undetected by Ad-aware,or Spybot.I found it today when i noticed my system running slower then normal,so i decided to scan with spybot,and ad-aware that emerged a clean system when i performed a system scan.I wasnt happy with the results after the scan,so i decided to scan my system manualy and founf that spyware.Here is some info on that spyware.

In the past three months, we have received reports of PowerReg Scheduler in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Iran, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Romania, Russian Federation, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Zimbabwe.

This is spyware. PowerReg Scheduler.exe and PowerReg SchedulerV2.exe are installed along with PowerQuest’s Partition Magic.

I don`t have partition majic,so why is it in my system?and why is it classified by a antispyware company as Spyware/adware?and why is it infecting machines at an alarming rate?

I did some more google on PowerReg Scheduler and found assorted links. It wasn't just Partition Magic. Maybe it's a legitimate program. Perhaps someone would tell us. Good day!

This is precisely why everyone should learn to read HiJack This logs; after a while you get a pretty good idea of what belongs on your machine and what doesn't. It's a lot easier to read a log from your own, personal unit because you pretty well know what belongs there and what doesn't. It's harder and more dangerous (for the owner of the unit) when you read someone else's log and try to decipher it.

Regarding HiJack This (HJT) logs, I agree with ranchhand. One site I know that allows you to post your HJT is at http://forum.aumha.org/viewtopic.php?t=4075. Make sure you follow the instructions set forth at that link.
