Does anyone have any info on hclean32.exe and how to get rid of it. It has been detected by Norton 2005 but it is unable to remove it. This this provents browser access to the net but other programs such as live update and MS error reporting don't have a problem.

Download and run this removal tool if you haven't done so http://forums.subratam.org/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=4381
Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, then make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish. The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
Then go to Start > Control Panel> Network Connections. Then right click on your default connection, usually Local Area Connection or Dial-up Connection if you are using Dial-up, and left click on properties>network tab> double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the radio button that says Obtain DNS servers automatically. Click OK twice, and restart your computer.
Ususally other files are associated with hcleam.exe and to find them you can download Hijack This at this link http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ then place it into a folder of it's on, such as C:\HJT, so that back up copies can be made and not clutter your desktop or other folders and the backup copies of deleted items can be easily located if needed.
Once saved double click HijackThis.exe, and press "Scan". When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log, Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents into the text editor.Do not fix anthing yet unless you know what you are doing, it's a powerful tool.
Some recommend running a HT anaylzer, which you can google for, but if you prefer post it here and I'll review it then post an item deletion suggestion.
