I must have a virus in my hardware somewhere. How do I eliminate it or find it, etc?

I guess I should say somewhere other than my hard drive. I changed and switched harddrives and it constantly opens my browser windows. I left my laptop on over night ant I had over 10,000 browser windows open.

I've heard about viruses flashing the bios but have never come across it. Here's a link that explains a bit about it and how to fix this.

Not sure about the recommendation of running two different antivirus programs though... hmmmm

It might pay instead, to only install Avast Antivirus and let it run a boot-time scan upon installation

HOLEY MOLEY! Ten thousand browser Windows?!?!11

That'd be enough to make me throw the computer on an incinerator! Perhaps it is a hardware error, rather than a virus, though.
