CPU/Ram: Intel Pent. 4 / 256 mb R

why is it when i start up my pc it says

" Primary hard disk drive not found
strike the f1 key to continue,
f2 key to run the setup utility"

and when i hit the f1 key my windows starts up and everythings ok after that.
but i have to do this eveytime I restart or Power on my pc. Do i have a virus? I need help.

first run an antivirus scan, if you don't have one http://housecall.antivirus.com has a free online scan. then if you don't have a virus,
reboot and
press f2 and see if your hard drive is setup properly, you might need to detect it,choose the one with LBA, save and exit setup.
if this continues, it could be the cmos battery is getting weak.
there are free antivirus programs available
one is avg http://www.grisoft.com/html/us_downl.htm i would also install the free version of zone alarm firewall from www.zonelabs.com this will keep some trojans/worms from infecting you.see post 3289 on the opaserv worm
