I saw recent post but I still need help. I tried the safemode search option looking to remove winlogin.exe file. however, only one winlogin.exe file was found with the accepted 505kb size range. Spybot and Ad-aware didn't do much for me. Also, when I try to reset the homepage the internet options box freezes when i press apply. If there is someone out there who can help plz let me know. thanks guys. I can post my hijack this logfile if it will help.

If you have hijackthis, have you tried removing all the "find4u" items that are listed in the log usually in R1 area? There should be several entries listed to delete. If you have and had no joy, then post the log.

Before I tried capt's advice a friend suggested system restore. That worked, my old homepage settings are back. The only thing different I see is pages take a little long now to load but otherwise the find4u.net page doesnt pop up. I'm not sure if its still there lurking somewhere. Thanks alot guys. Find4u is gone since you did the sytem restore. Get Adaware/Spybot/Spywareblaster from http://wilders.org/ and update them. Then check your browser secuity settings at http://www.pcpitstop.com/ Use the full performance scan, but pay attention to the security settings. Their auto fix will set the settings correctly, do not save the program to disk, just open it from current location. It is a lot easier than manually setting them. Pay special attention to license agreements if you are into getting "free" programs. Set your privacy settings in tools>internet options, to med high.
