all my word / excel files and PDF files are empty except when you open them it says this 'Hack by Debugger !!!'....also when I delete the files, empty the trash,, a few minutes later they reappear in the original location. My AVG free version doesn't seem to detect a virus... ..can anyone help me?

Try one or all of these: 1. Open Task Manager and see what unknown processes are running, try to End them. 2. Disconnect the PC from internet and see if you still have the problem. 3. Boot in safe mode and run antispyware like Spybot search and destroy, Lavasoft Ad-aware, Spywareterminator - these are free. Also try a program named What’sRunning.net
