Lesley, are you blocking it through the FW (outboard access)? THIS google page stated the following under the Auto Update feature: There's no need to check for new versions of Google Toolbar; updates are installed automatically, so you'll always have the latest and greatest version. HTH i_XpUser

Xp User Funny you should mention that - today I Uninstalled my Trend Micro Firewall\AV Program because it had expired and I don't want to get another just yet - maybe that was stopping it - anyway I've Enabled the Windows Firewall - but it's still not Updating!
