I'm not quite sure. Is there a page that says the toolbar gets updated automatically?

I think it might depend upon whether you opt to Install the Advanced Features during the Installation

Don't know for certain becasue I never accept the Advanced Features

Lesley, are you blocking it through the FW (outboard access)? THIS google page stated the following under the Auto Update feature:

There's no need to check for new versions of Google Toolbar; updates are installed automatically, so you'll always have the latest and greatest version.

Lesley,
I meant I use it in searches a lot every day.
Maybe it searches for updates after x amount of searches?

Funny you should mention that - today I Uninstalled my Trend Micro Firewall\AV Program because it had expired and I don't want to get another just yet - maybe that was stopping it - anyway I've Enabled the Windows Firewall - but it's still not Updating!

Chunko - yes I do a lot of daily Searches too

Now I want mine to Auto-Update!

Lesley, the version you have is the latest release version. There are some betas though.

http://www.google.com/support/toolbar/?quick=versioninfo

"Revision History
The Google Toolbar updates itself automatically, so you never need to install a newer version as long as you use the Toolbar. You can check the version history of the Google Toolbar here.

Tip: You can determine which version of the Toolbar you have by clicking the "Google" menu on the Toolbar and selecting "Help" > "About Google Toolbar"

Version 3.0.119.3 beta
New SpellCheck feature to check your spelling whenever you type in web forms
New AutoLink feature to turn street addresses into links to online maps
New WordTranslator feature to translate English words into other languages

Version 2.0.114.9
Made further stability improvements"
