Comment: So I've been using version 2 for a while now and I just noticed today that it somehow updated itself to version 3.
WTF?

I use the Google ToolBar - mine is Version 2.0.114.9
Hasn't Updated itself - not yet anyway There's no Setting for Auto-update Lesley

I think it might depend upon whether you opt to Install the Advanced Features during the Installation
Don't know for certain becasue I never accept the Advanced Features Lesley

I use it every day so maybe thats why it installed.
The version is 3.0.124.6 big/en (GGLD)

THIS google page stated the following under the Auto Update feature: There's no need to check for new versions of Google Toolbar; updates are installed automatically, so you'll always have the latest and greatest version. I meant I use it in searches a lot every day.
