I keep getting googled up if I look at a posting from here too long. I mean I keep getting an ad site for google appear in the window(not a pop up but it takes over the window) Is this a Firefox problem, a computing.net thing (to raise revenue??) or something that none of the current spyware programs detect. It ONLY happens here.

Hello,

As far as I know, Computing.Net's ad sense ads should only display inside an ad unit. They should not take over the whole page like some ads on other sites.

What is Google Adsence - see link below:

http://tinyurl.com/5r9v8

Try this - download Adblock extension (use FF while doing this) for FireFox 0.9 from here:

Firefox Help: Extensions

Remember to download only 1 extension when downloading extensions, then close FF browser then relaunch it...

Adblock will be on lower right hand corner...click it and it will bring a dialog panel to block what you want for the webpage you are viewing....

I got rid of that Google Adsence....

Justin. I find that if I open up a query from the forum in another tab in FF that when I return to the forum home page tab that it has changed to the adserve page. I THINK it only happens when adserve is the ad displayed on the right side of the page. I will take some better notice in the future and document the hassles.

Hello,

Does it happen on other sites running ad sense ads? Perhaps, it is a problem between ad sense and firefox.
