Here's the link:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/...
(I would run the Immunize feature included, which can "keep nasties away").

As you have something weird on there already I would also run this freebie trojan finder/fixer:
A-SQUARED FREE - JUST DOWN PAGE

Go and get the latest updates (definitions) before running either of the above.

Thanks for that. ran them both they found a fair few problems but the problem is still there. What happens is you put a search into google and the results come up a usual but when you click on the desired link it dirverts to random search engines or in one case an army surplus clothing site, you have to go back and click the link three times before you get to the page you want. Any ideas?

You could try putting your HJT log into this auto-analyzer to see if it gives you any clues:

Our log reading expert seems to have gone.

Assuming you use Internet Explorer 7, go to Tools/Internet Options and hit the Delete button.

You will then get a list of buttons. Clear all (if you are prepared to) but definitely "Temporary Internet Files", "Cookies" and "History". You will need to login to websites again on first visit because of clearing the cookies.

It sounds like some sort of browser hijack but I'm now about out of ideas. If the above doesn't help then I hope someone else can help you.
