This all happend after my computer became infected with the XP police virus. I tried using malwarebytes but it would not run in either safe mode or normal. I tried locating the file in non-plug and play drivers to deactivate, but I could not find this file either. I believe w/e virus my PC contracted is causing this to not open. Now it also redirects it to other sites when I use google. Other symptoms are I can't open the volume adjustment icon and I also have a SVhost.exe virus "the instruction at "0x75606e6a referecne memory at 0x0000008" the meory could no be "Read".
My computer was running perfectly before the XP police anti virus. I just downloaded Hijackthis and maybe this could help. I will post the files upon request as that is one of the rules of this site.
