I have contracted another, different Google redirect virus. It is causing Firefox to crash and my system to run slowly.
I would be sincerely grateful for any and all help you can offer to resolve this as quickly as possible.

you may want to download these three progs, all free and located in the link on my signature, run them in this order: 1- Ccleaner Slim, remove all it finds 2- Malwarebytes remove all it finds 3- Avast free, install it and let it do a bootscan on reboot and move all it finds to the chest. That should clean it out for you and get you back on track. Then I would suggest unloading the AV you are using now as you cannot run two AV's at the same time, they will conflict.

XpUser4Real, I've had this virus for about a week. After trying many things that didn't work, I came across this post which did. Thank you!
I've had Avast since before I got the virus. Avast didn't find it on several runs. While Ccleaner didn't find anything, Malwarebytes did. After Malwarebytes deleted the file, all of a sudden Avast realized there was a virus and scheduled the bootscan/cleanup. And now all better.
I'm buying Malwarebytes - it did what many other products did not!
