Firstly scan your system with Malwarebytes, Remove it pro and trojan remover software or Hitman pro..

After that follow these steps:

1. Cloose all applications
2. Close / disable startup applications (such as skype, messenger, or any background application)
3. Start/Settings/Control Panel/Internet Options/Delete Browsing History/Delete All (in passwords)
4. Also delete files and settings stored by add-ons (check) and click ok
5. Close all windows, and files, (just in case) nothing has to be open
6. Go to Start/run
7. Type in the open: %temp%
8. Press enter
9. Start deleting the temp files
10. You might not be able to delete some of the files, because ther are in use. Leave them alone.
11. When you get the error: Error Deleting file or folder click ok and continue deleting some of the files by type
12. When you are done. Reboot the computer
13. Now try to open Google webiste.

Please do reply the result at your convinience.

Thank you :)

thanks for getting back to me, i scanned with all the spyware you listed and followed the steps you outlined. I then opened IE and waited. I will either get a google webhp site open or a random gambling website open and sure enough it went to a page and my antivirus picked up it was malicious. I had spent 4 days on this and decided to re-install windows. which i have done, i only downloaded IE8, media player and windows updates. did not search the web excessively and then d/l avg and ran a full scan. it picked up heaps of cookies?? and also the fake security alert trojan....which was the virus ave.exe i originally was infected by (i think) is it possible my computer is still infected after wiping c drive clean? (i also ran malwarebytes with no infections)

In safe mode F8 run malwarebytes anti-malware and SUPER
Antispyware,and what they find you
delete it manually. Then run ccleaner to clean your pc, and
mvregclean, to clean registry. What mvregclean find you
remove because the key is there but not the file ,folder or
program.Even you reformat and it finds anything remove dont
be afraid.Do not forget when you install this software to
update them, and do an update every day. Then restore untill
before you get infected.
