Everytime I use a search engine, clicking on a link redirects me to another website. I also cannot run my virus software to check for a virus.

And when i have tried to run HiJackthis to get a log (in case it is requested) I can click to run, but a log never shows up for me to save.

Thanks in advance for any help, I have no idea what to do.

if you tap f8 and go into safe mode with networking (I'm assuming you are on a high speed connection) try downloading and running the following cleaners in this order:
1- Ccleaner slim, run it and it will remove all the junk files, cookies, etc safely from your PC and make the next scans go quicker.
2- Malwarebytes update it and run a quick scan
3- Avast Free- install it and allow it to do a bootscan on reboot and move all it finds to the chest.
Those free progs are all listed on one page in the link of my signature for convenience.

If you can't download those in safemode, you may want to do it on another machine and save them to thumbdrive or burn them to a disc and then install them on your PC.

If the above doesn't clean it all, there are more scans to try...good luck

Started the computer in Safe mode w networking. I ran the CC cleaner which worked fine.

Then I downloaded Malwarebytes, but when I went to run it, the window just closed. Now I'm not able to reopen the software.

This is the same thing that happened with Hijackthis.

Any solutions? Thanks
