Whenever I'm on a website and sometimes when I click on a link, the browser opens a new tab/window that doesn't even load. It doesn't happen everytime I click on a link, but I've tried several times to remove it.
A month ago, I got some kind of virus and had to restore the C: drive on my computer. I never had such a problem with viruses, spyware, or malware before and I had been using my computer for 3 1/2 years. Since restoring my drive, my computer has been getting infected with spyware, pop-up viruses, malware, this redirect virus, etc. I've tried downloading programs to block them and remove them but nothing seems to prevent it...
And for right now, I need to get this redirect virus off of my computer before I go insane. I've tried running Malwarebytes several times, in both safe and regular mode. Can someone please help me and give me step-by-step instructions on what I need to do to get rid of this thing?
Also, suggestions for any programs that would prevent my computer from contracting malicious software all the time would be great. I downloaded a free trial of some Windows program but it's obviously not that great if I'm still having problems.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Serafina
