Google Redirect Virus and other problems

Specs: Windows XP
I just bought a new computer and it has worked great for me until recently. :(

It seems I have the google redirect virus, and have tried to remove it with steps provided for other people on this forum, but with no luck. I have run CCleaner and malwarebytes' anti-malware and the issue hasn't been resolved.
I don't know what to do!

Also, I am sometimes receiving the "Windows has recovered from a serious error" pop-up after booting my pc, and it is usually followed by the "________ has encountered a problem and needs to close" pop-up for more than one program.
It's driving me crazy! Unfortunately, I don't have the XP discs to flatten the pc.
Are there any ways around these issues?

Please help!

Download and run Kaspersky AVP tool:
Once you download and start the tool:
# Check below options:

    * Select all the objects/places to be scanned.
    * Settings > Customize > Heuristic analyzer > Enable deep rootkit search

# Click Scan
# Fix what it detects
# Attach Scan log/Summary to your next message.
