I've seen similar posts but guess I need by HJT file examined by an expert.

I've run Spybot and Malware-bytes anti-malware but no luck. Google search results are redirected elsewhwere. Please help.

try downloading avast free and run a bootscan on reboot moving all it finds into the chest.
Also try winpatrol which is free and see what is running on your start-up, etc.

I had similiar problems, additional issues were cmd.exe and regedit.exe were not working but would.

Extracting CMD.EXE and REGEDIT.EXE from XP into system32 directories and removing prefetch information before restoring resolved my issues.

Also Stopzilla helped out a little bit
