Comment:

Today my McAfee antivirus decided that
GoogleDesktopIndex.exe is a virus and removed it.
After that I downloaded again Google Desktop version 2 from Google, but if I try to reinstall it, it is again identified as a virus.

Why on earth is now Google Desktop rated as a virus?

Reply:

GoogleDesktopIndex.exe is not related to spyware. Try to find something like exception list and add googleDesktopindex.exe to it.
