I am having some problems that I can't seem to get rid of. First of all, everytime I restart my computer, my System 32 folder pops up. Not only that, but another box (it's black inside with white writing--like in the very old computers) pops up for about a second also entitled System 32. Also, I have the famous Golden Palace Casino problem that's been popping up on everyone's computers. I remember downloading this program awhile ago. But I also remember removing it. But anyway, no matter how many times I remove it, it keeps coming back and popping up randomly and redownloading itself to my computer. My adaware and norton antivirus programs are not picking up any problems. Some bigger problems I am having are: I cannot open any links in my email (Outlook). I cannot download any programs off the internet. I cannot save any picture or files from the internet (Whenever I right-click a picture to save it, it says it's being saved, but it is never actually there. I've even run searches for the file name.) Yes these last 3 problems are bothering me the most and I feel that a few of these may be linked to one another, if not all. If anyone can help me out with any of these problems I would appreciate it greatly. Keep in mind I can't download any programs off the internet, such as HijackThis.

I can receive emails but I can't open any links in them. I also forgot to mention that I've recently gotten two virus that norton was nuable to repair. One had a filename of hbdbebpp.dll with a virus name of Downloader.MSCache. The other one had a filename of xtrwqxfk.exe also with a virus name of Downloader.MSCache.

Hello Linz,
I think you have a corruption problem connected to your internet explorer program.
Try to repair it using the following procedure:
"Go to the control panel when not connected to the net, open "add & remove programs", find line "internet explorer and his tools", open it, 3 options avalaibles, one is "repair", send the procedure, IE will scan and check for corrupted or damaged files, reboot at the end of procedure."
That should fix your problem...
By the way, which version of internet explorer do you use ?

Hello again Linz,
I forgot to say Downloader.MSCache is a trojan horse.
You need a specific program to rid off this betrayal, download and try Trojan Remover 6.15
This program is a freeware for one month but fully updated, read well the "helpme" file in order to use correctly the two scans built of the program: one to check your memory RAM, second one to hunt, detect and eradicate the worm hidden somewhere into your hard drive.... Good luck.....

I'm not sure what version of internet exlorer i have-- it only says internet explorer everywhere I've looked. I also use netscape and I switched it to my default browser about a month ago, could that have something to do with why it's messing up? Also, I tried to do what you said, but once i got into add and remove programs, i didn't have a line that said internet explorer and his tools. The only one I have that even says internet explorer in it is Internet Explorer Q824145. I'm going to try the trojan remover, but i havent been able to download those types of programs (or really any programs) off the internet. So we'll see.

Yep, it wouldn't let me download Trojan Remover. Everytime i try to download anything it says that the source file could not be found.

Can you go to start>windows update and get all the latest updates. If not you might need to pick up one of the many magazines available that include a cd with upates and antivirus etc on.

So nothing is working so far. Does anyone have any idea of something else to do to fix this? Something that doesn't involve downloading a program off the internet or opening up a link is part of the problem. Thanks to those of you who have tried to help so far!

One way you can disable the Golden Palace Casino (provided that you do not have an Internet Connection), is to delete its critical files instead of deleting the entire thing. The Casino is apparently set up to resurrect itself automatically when it is deleted. However, if part of its critical file set is deleted (instead of the entire program) it will not run.

Go to c:\casino. Delete the casino icon, the thing that says "replacer", and three or four of the .dll files that are present. It will no longer load on startup.

I recommend that you ask a friend to download Spybot: Search and Destroy with the updates in separate files, install it on your computer, and do a regedit. Most of the keys for the smaller trojans (i.e. downloader.trojan) are present in the HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Currentversion/Run. You might also notice some other keys in there such as EbatesMoeMoney. If it is obviously spyware or adware, delete the key.

There have been a few trojans going around lately that you need to check for as well: trojan.benuti and trojan.sinkin. You can find information on how to check for and remove these at symantec.com

Greetings,

I got the virus and after trying several things to get rid of it, I went to the golden palace casino website so I could call their support line and bitch them out.

They gave me this link:
http://www.jraun.com/
Go to the bottom and click the uninstall Jraun. It seemed to have worked.
